Paper & Pattern Abstract Workshop Experience the Magic of Mixed Media Collage!

Discover the unique process of mixing papers, paint and mark-making with techniques and tools to create your own abstract painting. Learn collage composition tips, layering for depth, image transfer and how to achieve a beautiful, smooth finish without bubbles and wrinkles.   

The workshop will be a combination of exercises, demonstrations, and personal painting time. You will receive coaching and feedback for each step of the process. Leave with your own painting and new techniques to incorporate into your personal artwork.

Taos Vortex Abstract Landscape Workshop Collage - Paint - Markmaking

The very reason we love to come to Taos…the magnificent light, the spiritual mountain, the ever changing sky - landscape magic! Create your landscape painting using collage and acrylic paint as your medium. You will select from a series of templates that are inspired by the beauty of the Taos environment. 

Choose papers that inspire you to create a magical Taos landscape painting, learn how to use mediums to attach papers and how to finish your work. Personal instruction will be provided throughout this memorable experience. You will leave with a finished painting on panel - ready to frame!

Soul Journey                                                                                                                                                                                                  Meditative Collage Workshop 

As we travel our personal life’s path, each of us experience various times of transition or change. This class is an  intuitive, interpersonal exploration around where we are on our journey. 

You will create a collage using images that you choose to resonate with your own experience - your story. Beginning with a short guided meditation to center your thoughts, you will then choose images to create your collage. Instruction is provided throughout the process. A sharing session at the end of the class will allow you to process the meaning of your final piece with each other. You will leave with a 8x10 collage marking your personal journey. 

Cost for Soul Journey Workshop:                                                                                                                                                                                         This experience is a group process. You will need a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 participants in your group, 1:00pm - 4:00pm
